What? I could totally be a spy if I wanted to.

Hey Everybody!

I don’t mind telling you, I’m starting the feel the Christmas crunch. Time is getting short to get all my shopping done and even though I started earlier than usual, it feels like there’s still so much more I need to do. It will get done, but I may lose my sanity before Christmas Eve. So there’s that to look forward to. :/

Anyone have any idea why my number of hits to my blog doubled yesterday? I don’t usually pay much attention to my blog stats, but I got a note from WordPress telling me my stats jumped suddenly yesterday. I couldn’t find anything out of the ordinary on my stats pages indicating a link or referral or anything, so I don’t know what’s going on. I’m happy to have some extra visitors, just weird that it happened all at once like that.

I’m still pretty  much in hibernation mode even though the weather is unseasonably warm this week: it’s 46 degrees and sunny with an expected high of 50. I’ll take it, but it feels more like spring than winter right now. Hard to feel like Christmas shopping when it’s this warm. On Friday it’s supposed to get cold again, and oh my gosh I can’t believe I’m blogging about the weather. I am officially an old man. What’s next? Checkers in the park? Coffee at the local convenience store every morning at 5am? Get off my lawn, you miserable kids!!

Anyway, as I was saying, I’m still hibernating. Still not bothered by it. Will most likely weigh as much as Santa by the time Christmas gets here. However, I’m not waiting until January to do something about it. I’ve got a cool program in the works that I will learn more about later this week and I’ll share it with you all then. It involves a registered dietitian and some super secret spy gadgets and that’s all I can tell you because if I told you anymore, I’d have to kill you. Super secret spy stuff and all. I’m sure you understand.

According to this, my spy name would be is Ripley Storm. (You might have to click on it several times to get a name that is satisfactory because apparently sometimes Spy Names are very closely related to Stripper Names.)

Ripley Storm. I can live with that. 🙂

Fancy Hotpants…not so much.

Have a good day, y’all.

Ripley Storm, out.

  1. You crack me up.

I wonder if you got more hits because you were on the wordpress face page or something. do they still do that?

Its ridiculously warm here. Kinda irritating me. I was in cozy clothes/keep the fire going mode. Now I have hot flashes if I dress too warmly.

Your ads crack me up. It looks like a black rapper and a blonde chick with the words HOT HOT HOT lit up in the background. I don’t know if I’m the only one who sees these. They always seem like they are weirdly linked to what you are writing about.

  2. I’m with Debby on the ads…sometimes I think you’ve put in a video because it eerily goes with your post. Although, the one I’m seeing right now is telling me why I should know the word “quant” (already do, btw, thanks to playing WWF), so not sure where that fits in…spy name, perhaps?

Christmas. I’m not ready either – weirdly, I’ve finished all of my handmade items, but actual shopping? Not so much.

  3. I live in New Zealand and its hot here at the moment, I just can’t imagine a cold Xmas, that would be weird! BBQ on Boxing day is a tradition!

  4. You may have more readers because your blog was featured on Healthline’s website as one of the 20 Best Weight Loss Blogs of 2013. Congrats! (Btw I’m a first time reader)

  5. Christmas in Australia (like NZ) is hot hot hot! The day is usually a sweltering heatwave with everyone eating cold prawns and salad under the air conditioning, then a BBQ on Boxing Day.

Christmas in winter would be so weird. You couldn’t even have mangoes for breakfast!

  6. I know many people who try a weight loss program, or do a diet for a while, but they always seem to fail. They try again, and fail again. This is a really good blog for giving me the motivation and consistency for carrying through the tough times of staying on track and a lot of helpful tricks and tips to lose weight. Thank you so much!
