Self portrait #3

I forgot to do a self portrait yesterday – it was kind of a crazy day.

Today’s portrait is a picture of what I’m going to be doing today. It’s not even 10am and all my work is done, the boss is going to be out of the office for several hours today, and so I’m going to start reading Transformation Road by Sean Anderson. I’m going to take advantage of the quiet day and read.

PS – do you see the faint trace of pink nail polish on my thumb? When a 6 year old wants to give you a manicure, you don’t say no. I can’t bring myself to take the polish off because every time I look at it, I’m reminded of her.  🙂

That warms my heart (and it needs warming this morning…I’m in a grumbly mood about insurance companies).

I love it when my 6 y.o. “does” my hair. He’s very creative. It usually feels nice, but, you know, then there’s the ouch-factor…but I let him keep going.

I LOVE my kindle. Today I’m reading One For The Money (instead of working like I’m supposed to… but I’m an afternoon painter, so I’ll get there, I’ll get there…)

My daughter used to do my nails, now she tries to stealthily do my husband’s toenails when he’s not looking.

Awe, that’s nice about your daughter giving you a manicure. And extra nice on this middle day of the week that you get a quiet day and get to read! I started reading it last night!

You and Kyra inspired me to also take pics. I finally posted them.

I think this is going to be good for me.
