Shred that Crappie!

Standard

Okay – now I know why no one answered my crappie question!  Debby’s comment made things so clear to me.  For starters, it’s not pronounced CRAPpie, it’s krah-pee, although writing that out doesn’t make the fish seem any more appetizing.  It has a very mild flavor and is not fishy-tasting at all.  Go to crappie.com (yes this fish has its very own website) for more information. Secondly, it never occured to me that everyone might not know about crappie.  Growing up, the only fish we ever ate was crappie, bass, or catfish and all could be prepared the same way – fried.  Maybe crappie is a regional fish or it’s known by another name in other parts of the country.   Anyway, thanks Debby for enlightening me – you always make me laugh!!

I just ordered the 30 Day Shred DVD from Amazon (it’s less than $9 right now) and I know Laura is going to be doing it, but is there anyone else out there who would like to join in?  We could start it either the end of next week or the first of February.  Eileen has expressed an interest (c’mon Eileen you know want to!!) and if there is anyone else who wants to join in the fun, leave me a comment or shoot me an email.  If we get enough interest, we could have a drawing for a prize at the end.  Wouldn’t that be fun?  Come on, all the cool kids are doing it!!

There’s a new diet book making the rounds called The Baby Fat Diet, and The Sassy Pear is one of many stops on the book’s blog tour.  I’ve read the book and I’ll be posting my review on Friday, so please before you make any judgments (another diet book? Are you kidding, Jill?) stop by and read my review – I think you’ll be surprised!

Have a great day gang!!

When I read Laura’s comment about the 30 day shred to you, I immediately went to Amazon and read some of the reviews, totally forgot I had bought it (never used it though). Saw it this morning on top of my DVD stack. Maybe someone is trying to tell me something…

    So, count me in.

  2. We’ve started a Revolution! Most excellent. I’ll let you all know what I think of it after I watch it, er I mean, work out to it tonight.

It will be awesome to do this with a group of us. Very motivational!

Baby Fat diet? What a title!

  3. I’ve been thinking and thinking about getting the DVD and I THINK you’ve pushed me over the edge. As soon as I get home, I think I’ll have to buy it and join in if you’ll have me!

  4. Okay, I ordered it too. I hope its as good as everybody says. And I hope Jillian doesn’t get in my face and scream at me like she does to those people on the biggest loser. And she better not use the F-word either. I also ordered that video they offered with it–Violet somebody, a very thin, very fit Australian lady. The tape had good reviews.

Good idea, Jill! I also took the opportunity to order The Amazing Adventures of Diet Girl, since I didn’t win it on any of the blog giveaways!

OK, Jill– the end of next week IS virtually the first of February. So to answer your question about when we should start the challenge: YES.

  6. Krysten!!!!! As for the date, I was thinking we could start it either like next Thursday OR we could start it on Sun, which is Feb 1 (and the day before your birthday!) – so which would be better?

I’m so glad there are so many who want to participate – this is going to be SuperFun!
