The Oatmeal has left the building…

I have tons of work to do today so I will keep this super short.  I had THE BEST oatmeal this morning.  I like to call it Elvis Oatmeal.  Can you guess what’s in it???

Oatmeal, peanut butter, and banana.

So yummy I had to sing “I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You”

Thankyouthankyouverymuch.

  1. Your posts always make me smile or LOL.
Is this a recipe? How many points?
    I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day..and Hey..we are in VEGAS…(finally..heehee) keep up the walking..doing great!

  2. How funny! This morning I tried Hungry Girl’s choco-banana oatmeal. Good but I didn’t find it worthy, so only ate half of it so I can have some fruit later. Then I read Lynn Heraldson’s blog http://lynnsweigh.blogspot.com/ before yours, and she talked about her new favorite, an english muffin with peanut butter and banana. Hmmm…some kind of experimental breakfasty trend going on here…

  3. Susie – I made my regular oatmeal and then put a Tbsp of peanut butter and sliced a half a banana in and stirred it all together. I did add a small spoonful of sugar to it too. I love fruit in my oatmeal, and someone somewhere mentioned putting pb in oatmeal, so I tried it. I estimated it to be about 5 points.

Debby – while I’m thinking about it, do you have a blog??? You should (all the cool kids are doing it!!). Yeah it sounds like some kind of cosmic conspiracy to get you to eat more pb and oatmeal! Funny!

  4. You are so cute. Those flavors are some of my favorites. I really need to start eating my breakfast again. I pretty much only do protein shakes in a can, and coffee.

Hope things are going well for you!

  5. Hi Jill, Funny you should ask about me doing a blog. I have been thinking about it A LOT lately, since I notice that some of my replies are a bit too long, and I should probably be doing all that writing on my own blog. The truth is, I am blog challenged, and a little afraid to try to set one up and not be able to do it. But pretty soon I will try.

  6. debby – that is the very reason I started a blog – all my comments on blogs could go on and on, so I decided to start my own. It’s pretty easy to do, I use wordpress, but alot of people use blogspot. I am by no means a blogging expert, but if you want help setting one up, let me know. I’ll be happy to help!

btw, I don’t mind long comments on my blog – the more the merrier!!

  7. Hi Jill! Well, I have a blog, or at least I think I do! Now, I wonder how I comment on other peoples sites and they can click on my name and automatically go to my blog. Here’s my blog name in case you want to try it out. there’s not much on there yet. debbyweighsin.wordpress.com

  8. You see how when you sign your comment, it asks for website? That’s where you can put in your blog url (www.debbyweighsin.wordpress.com) and it will automatically associate that with your name when you make a comment. So when you comment on someone’s blog, they can click on your name and it will connect them to your blog. Does that make sense? If not, let me know and I’ll try to explain it better. =)

  9. Hi Jill, trying your suggestion. Sorry about using your blog as a practice site. One the other hand, it looks like you have lots of comments on your blog! Thanks for being so helpful!

  10. Hey! Had to reply to you on Idol. I totally 100% agree with all you said. David A. is SO BORING. I just fast forward through his songs now. He’s got a great voice, sure, but he’s a one trick pony… “been there, done that” is what I think when I hear him sing now.

David C. is the stuff of legends, I tell you, legends!!! He’s got it all–great voice, sexy presence, he can rock yet can deliver a ballad (and yes it IS getting hot in here)–who wouldn’t want to sign him to a record contract, like, yesterday?! I really really hope he wins, and I’m going to try my hardest to remember to watch the show when it airs so I can vote (usu. I’m watching it after the kids are in bed and it’s too late to vote). I’m afraid he’ll lose, though, b/c of those darn pre-teens voting for David A. But, I think it was you who said 2nd place often does better than 1st, so I’m just glad he’s in the finals because I’m sure he’ll get a record deal. He just has to, or I’ll die! (well, maybe not die, but I totally could have been one of those crying girls they showed last night if I were 20 years younger =).

  11. Hi Jill, thanks for the comment on my blog. It only took me 6 hours to figure out why my email said you left a comment but i didn’t see it on my blog! One more question. Now when I leave a comment for you (wordpress) it uses my name debby, but when I leave a comment for google bloggers, it uses my whole blog name ‘debbyweighsin.’ I guess its not a big deal, but is there a way to connect them to my blog without using the whole blog name?

  12. When I comment on say, Laura’s blog, I go to the one that says “Name/Url” and enter my name and then my url underneath. If you use the open id, it will use your blog name. I have changed my blog name a couple of times, so that’s why I use my name instead of my blog name when I comment, but you can do whichever you like better.
