Ramble time!

Okay, well I didn’t get on the treadmill yesterday after work because I was put on taxi duty shuttling my son to baseball practice, but after I dropped him off, I went to the Wal-Marts* and walked around there for an hour and fifteen minutes pushing a cart with 75 pounds of children in it going from one end of the store to the other (multiple times I might add), so I think that counts for something, don’t you?In other random news: I find it very annoying that the spell checker on my BLOG doesn’t recognize the word blog, but has not trouble with BLOG. What’s that about?

Speaking of my BLOG, under the search engine terms that people have used to find my blog, the term “flip flop couch” keeps coming up. What is a flip flop couch and who are these people who are so desperate to find one that this term shows up in my blog stats at least once a week??? Since they are so desperate to find one, it makes me think that maybe I need one too, because I don’t want to miss out on anything uber-cool. Anyone got any ideas on this one?

Um, let’s see, what else? Food has been good, blah blah blah.

Oh yeah, confession time…I just recently (as in 5 days ago) got my first digital camera. I know – I’m such a dork, but I finally whined about it enough that the hubs bought me one for my birthday! I haven’t even loaded the software onto my computer yet, but soon, if I am feeling brave, you all may get your first glimpse of moi! And if I get really motivated, I may be posting all sorts of random photos on here, because I love a blog with pics!!

Okay, well I guess that’s enough random ramblings for one day, gotta get back to work! Have a great afternoon y’all!!

* I don’t really say “the Wal-MartS”, but I think it’s really funny when other people do!! And if you are one of those people, then I have probably laughed at you. =)

  1. I can’t wait to see a picture of you. The toughest thing about digital is you get lazy and stop getting real prints made (well, at least, that’s me). I haven’t printed a picture in years, to the dismay of all my scrapbook materials just lounging on my desk. My poor son barely has 5 pages in his 1 year baby scrap book; he’s 2 1/2.

On your post yesterday–oh, I am so excited about the warmer temps, too. And your 0.6 gain is as good as a maintain. That is such a slight difference it totally doesn’t count. You have the right mind set about it. Also? I noticed that my weight went up every 3rd week or so while losing. Probably related to my womanly cycle =), is my guess. Didn’t matter what kind of food or exercise week I had, it went up every few weeks. It might help you to track your weight somewhere just so you can recognize the patterns of your own fluctuations. That really helped me not get frustrated when I KNEW I was doing everything right, but the scale wasn’t cooperating.

We have one of those super walmarts too. It is so freaking huge, you’re right it’s a workout in itself just going shopping. I avoid Wally World like the plague, because the service at ours is horrible (I think at one point we were the #1 store in the country for the non-perishable food sales; I have no idea why I know this). There are always long lines and it takes as long to check out as it does to shop. Seriously. At least a 10 minute wait, minimum, every time I’ve gone in there.

  2. Jill you are so funny – flip flop couch sounds like something dear old (dead) grandma would say -“she had her one of them flip flop couches”.

Laura’s right about not developing photos! Haven’t done that either. But enjoy your camera and looking forward to seeing a picture.

  3. Hi–I stopped by a few weeks ago during decluttering…just stopping by to see how you are. Looks like you are doing well. Glad the food is going well for you and that you had a loss this week! I have been trying to add a 15 min declutter period to my day..some days I do it..some not. It’s a long road ahead. Have a good weekend.
