Poor me, Yay me

Is anyone else just completely drained of energy?? For the last week or so, I have been sooooo tired. My TOM was a couple of weeks ago, so I know it’s not that. I wake up more exhausted than when I went to bed and I’m sort of achy. My lower back feels like it’s going to go out any minute, and I don’t usually have lower back problems – upper back problems yes, but not lower back. My arms and legs feel like they are made of lead and I just have a general malaise (that word sounds so much sexier than it is) about  everything.  All of this is not normal for me(except maybe for the feeling tired part) – I’m usually a happy go lucky kinda gal. Maybe I need to make good on that “getting my thyroid checked” resolution I made at the beginning of the year.

In other news, my son turns 11 today. He is a great kid and I am so lucky to be his mom.
Happy Birthday kiddo!! We will celebrate by going to Incredible Pizza Company and playing games and eating lots of pizza and God help me stay away from those cinnamon rolls! It should be fun.

In exciting and fantastic news, in my frantic “I woke up 15 minutes late today” scramble to get ready for work, I couldn’t find any of my jeans that I usually wear so I had to grab a pair that I know are too tight for me and squeeze myself into them, only I didn’t have to squeeze – they slipped on and I actually zipped them up without having to lie on the bed first! Woohoo!! I don’t know if I have lost any weight because of the nonworking scale (that is now in the trash I might add), but I couldn’t fit into these jeans in November, so I must be doing something right! I’ve been tracking my food and running a little here and there (I really need step it up a bit), so I think it is definitely helping. Good feedback is good.

  1. No, your not alone. The past couple of days I thought I was coming down with the flu. Achy body, queezy stomach… but I am not sick. I just dont have any *umph*.

    I went to the store and bought a multi-vitamin and am hoping that maybe my body is just lacking something. I’m also taking a couple of days off of running and giving my body a chance to recover fully.

    Yeah on the pants fitting!!!! The scale is the last thing we should look at to see how we are doing. Clothes fitting better is a definite thumbs up!!

  2. Great news about the jeans.

    YOu might have the flu? Or another virus? I also think this time of year just sucks the life out of us, without the sunshine and warmth. But if you aren’t feeling better soon, you might call your doctor just to check if they want to see you. Esp. if you’re feeling achy.
