Okay – now I know why no one answered my crappie question! Debby’s comment made things so clear to me. For starters, it’s not pronounced CRAPpie, it’s krah-pee, although writing that out doesn’t make the fish seem any more appetizing. It has a very mild flavor and is not fishy-tasting at all. Go to crappie.com (yes this fish has its very own website) for more information. Secondly, it never occured to me that everyone might not know about crappie. Growing up, the only fish we ever ate was crappie, bass, or catfish and all could be prepared the same way – fried. Maybe crappie is a regional fish or it’s known by another name in other parts of the country. Anyway, thanks Debby for enlightening me – you always make me laugh!!
I just ordered the 30 Day Shred DVD from Amazon (it’s less than $9 right now) and I know Laura is going to be doing it, but is there anyone else out there who would like to join in? We could start it either the end of next week or the first of February. Eileen has expressed an interest (c’mon Eileen you know want to!!) and if there is anyone else who wants to join in the fun, leave me a comment or shoot me an email. If we get enough interest, we could have a drawing for a prize at the end. Wouldn’t that be fun? Come on, all the cool kids are doing it!!
There’s a new diet book making the rounds called The Baby Fat Diet, and The Sassy Pear is one of many stops on the book’s blog tour. I’ve read the book and I’ll be posting my review on Friday, so please before you make any judgments (another diet book? Are you kidding, Jill?) stop by and read my review – I think you’ll be surprised!
Have a great day gang!!
